about the cottage
Situated a mile or so from Lands End, the 17th Century cottage is finished to a supreme standard with 2 large double bedrooms that sleep 4 people, each with it's own en-suite.
Light and airy in the summer months, a cosy cocoon from autumn to spring

Set within a beautifully curated sweeping garden, complete with a surf shack that overlooks the arcing blue ocean. On a summer's evening it's the last place in England to watch the golden sun dip into the sea
"The cottage is a little slice of Heaven. Everything we could ask for was thougthfully provided. The garden and views were so fantastic it was hard to leave each day to go out and explore"

surfing

Located in a Designated Area of Outstanding Beauty, Sennen and Gwynver are two of
europe's best waves just a stones throw from the cottage. Both beaches are perfect for swimming, rockpooling and surfers of all levels.
Gwynver's more of a secret spot with a consistently good swell, while beginners can sign up at
the award winning Smart Surf School, Sennen.
Crystal clear water with a wide expanse of white sand, we recommend taking a picnic or barbeque and hanging out all day.
swimming
Porthcurno is a more sheltered cove just a 10 minute drive away. Situated on the South coast it's protected from the Atlantic swell, providing calmer waters for swimmers and paddlers of all ages. Alternatively, visit Jubilee pool in Penzance, the largest seawater lido in the UK, complete with thermal pool. afterwards, pop next door to Rising Embers Sauna in Newlyn, overlooking the sea.
walking
Embark on picturesque coastal walks, discover hidden coves and immerse yourself in the beauty of Cornwall's landscapes.
Walkers (with and without dogs) are spoilt for choice. The coastal Salt Path is a hop, skip and jump from your front door. One of our favourite rambles is up the hill behind the cottage. Named Chapel Carn Brea it's the first (or last) hill in England. On a clear day you can see the Scilly Isles 28 miles off the coast.
exploring
Newlyn, Mousehole, Penzance & St.Ives are all a short drive or bike ride away. each complete with cobbled streets, shops and art studios to explore. (Barbara Hepworth's house and garden are beautiful).
St. Michaels Mount, ancient sites such as the Merry Maidens Stone Circle, Bottallack tin mine and Cape Cornwall are all worthy of days out. The UKs most dramatic theatre, The Minack is just up the road in Porthcurno.
And, if you love visiting gardens there are many nearby. Trewidden and Tremenheere sculpture gardens are 2 of our most cherished.
eating
Our favourite spots: Breakfast and great coffee at Farm+Fort, Lovetts, 45 Queen street and The Dog & Rabbit Cafe in St. Just
Argoe and Mackerel Sky (both in Newlyn) for expertly cooked fresh fish.
The Old Success Inn, Gurnard's Head and The Tinners - three lovely locals for top-notch food all year round, with beautiful gardens in which to enjoy a summer's drink.
